" RENZO DJORDAN, A TALENTED PRODUCER "

MUSIC : Renzo Djordan ( REMIX Magnetic tailors )
VIDEO : Magnetic Tailors
Remix composed from a song which belongs to a french musicians band album, managed by international press officer Ness Errahmani. Music inspired by Californian groove style of Zapp & Roger band, led by Roger Troutman, who collaborated with George Clinton (Parliament/Funkadelic ) : an american song with electric guitare, groovy fat bass and talkbox which has been already used in a famous 1994 french film, THE HATE , for an urban dance scene. An international recognition for this B&W film awarded by 1994 Cannes Film Festival :
This musical style, of which P-Funk is one of the main sources of inspiration, emerged from the streets of Los Angeles in the early 1990s : laid-back funk rhythms, associated with Low Riding, a culture and an automotive art born in Los Angeles during the 1940s and 1950s. Low riding is not only a mechanical passion, but a way of life :

FRANCE & MOROCCO

Regarding the music video, the Californian inspiration of the creative direction was oriented towards retro codes with the green Ford Mustang GT 390 Fastback 1968 from the film BULLITT. This car has become legendary thanks in particular to the famous chase through the streets of San Francisco, one of the most iconic in the history of cinema ( Batfa & Oscar winner ) : speed peaks of over 180 km/h drivin by Steeve Mac Queen himself in 1968. Accompanied by argentine-born american Lalo Chiffrin music film composer :

Californian atmosphere and thematic of car chase in the streets of San Francisco that we find once again in 1982 with Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy aboard a 1964 Cadillac DeVille Convertible in 48 HRS film. Music composed by James Horner, with touches of jazz, funk, and electronic that give the film a unique style. The opening credits and action scenes are accompanied by a classic soundtrack :

After some " shot in LA " films from the 70s cinematographic Blaxploitation era like Foxy brown and Trouble Man Films, whose magnificent soundtrack was directed by Marvin Gaye, the LA urban culture became in 90s the heartbeat of hood films, capturing the life in neighborhoods. Oscar nomination as well as french independent cinema jury selection by Quinzaine des réalisateurs CANNES in 1993. Filmmaker and music composer Melvin Van Peebles remains the precursor in this LA film genre :

James Dean remains an iconic figure in Los Angeles cinema and in car culture. In Rebel Without a Cause (1955), he drove a 1949 Mercury Coupe, a typical young californian rebel car. This cult film, shot at the Griffith Observatory, anchors Dean in the L.A. urban landscape. But it is above all in his personal life that James Dean cultivates his passion for speed, notably driving the famous Porsche 550 Spyder. James Dean embodies the rebellious, free, and Californian spirit of 1950s cinema :

To conclude this review with an Italo touch, it will not forget to mention " IL SORPASSO " 1962 film by Dino Risi italian filmmaker, 2012 Cannes classic selection . Road trip that takes place in central Italy and which pays tribute to the italian legendary car Lancia Aurelia B24 S Convertible (1955) : this car has become as iconic as the film itself, reinforcing its status as a classic of Italian "commedia all'italiana" cinema :
